RULES AND ADMINISTRATION

Only 2 coaches per team will be admitted free of charge.

2. GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME. Games will be played 18 minute running clock halves. The clock will stop during the last minute of each half. OT is 2 minutes. 2^nd OT is sudden death. Timeouts are 1 first half and 2 second half or 2 first half and 1 second half, use them or lose them, no carryover. 1 timeout per OT session, no carryover. Time between halves will be 5 Minutes.

3. Standard local rules apply except for: 1 and 1 on the 10^th foul, 2 shots on 13th foul. 5 Personal fouls for disqualification. COACHES MUST STAY WITHIN BENCH AREA TO AVOID TECHNICAL FOULS.

4. CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT : Each team is guaranteed 6 games. Top 4 teams make the playoffs. Seed 1 versus Seed 4 and Seed 2 versus Seed 3 in the semi finals. Winners play for the championship.

. NEW RULES

1. NO PLAYER IS ALLOWED TO PLAY FOR TWO DIFFERENT TEAMS IN THE SAME AGE DIVISION BRACKET During league regular season and Playoffs.

2. NO PLAYER CAN PLAY IN THE PLAYOFFS UNLESS HE PLAYS AT LEAST 2 REGULAR SEASON GAMES PRIOR TO THE PLAYOFF SEASON.

3. ALL ROSTERS MUST BE FINAL BY THE THIRD REGULAR SEASON GAME.

4. BIRTH CERTIFICATES ARE REQUIRED OR STUDENT ID PRIOR TO THE FIRST GAME.

5. ALL PROTESTS MUST BE CARRIED BEFORE EACH GAME, NO AFTER GAME PROTESTS WILL BE HONORED. ALL PROTESTS FEES ARE $100 PER CASE.

TIEBREAKING SYSTEM:

1) Head to Head Play: The team that wins the head to head competition between the two tied teams will move on.

2) Point System: A point differential system will be used if two or more teams are tied. Teams will receive a maximum of +15 points for a win and a maximum of -15 points for a loss. The team with the most positive points will be first followed by the next most positive point total. If two teams are still tied, they would revert to the first tie breaker system.

3) Defensive Point System: A total defensive point system will be used if three teams are still tied. The teams with the least amount of aggregate points given up would move on.

4) Coin Flip If all else fails, a coin will be flipped.

5. The league will provide a book keeper and/or time keeper.

7. ONLY PLAYERS AND COACHES CAN SIT ON BENCH. NO SPECTATORS.

8. Any player, team or coach who is ejected from a game will be dismissed for the remainder of the season.

9. All games are on Sundays.

10. 11. Game time is forfeit time.

12. Teams must provide their own warm up balls.

13. Teams must have numbers on the back of their uniform.

14. AAU Age requirements will apply for the league.

Note: Please check the schedule online by Saturday before your game to make sure no changes have been made to your game time.

Limited seating on court #2 so bring your own seating.

2017 AAU Boys Basketball Rule Changes
Listed below are the new eligibility rules for boys' basketball in the 2016 season.
7 & Under: An athlete can be no older than 7 on August 31, 2017
8 & Under: An athlete can be no older than 8 on August 31, 2017
9 & Under: An athlete can be no older than 9 on August 31, 2017
10 & Under: An athlete can be no older than 10 on August 31, 2017
11 & Under: An athlete can be no older than 11 on August 31, 2017
12 & Under: An athlete can be no older than 12 on August 31, 2017
13 & Under: An athlete can be no older than 13 on August 31, 2017
14 & Under: An athlete can be no older than 14 on August 31, 2017
15U/9th Grade: An athlete can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2017. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 9th grade as of Oct 1, 2016 and who is no older than 16 on August 31, 2017 is eligible to play in the 15U/9th grade division
16U/10th Grade: An athlete can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2017. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 10th grade as of Oct 1, 2016 and who is no older than 17 on August 31, 2017 is eligible to play in the 16U/10th grade division
17U/11th Grade: An athlete can be no older than 17 on August 31, 2017. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 11th grade as of Oct 1, 2016 and who is no older than 18 on August 31, 2017 is eligible to play in the 17U/11th grade division
19U/ 12th Grade: An athlete can be no older than 19 on August 31, 2017. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 12th grade as of Oct 1, 2016 and who is no older than 20 on August 31, 2017 is eligible to play in the 19U/12th grade division
